General Information

The Fort Plain Free Library seeks to provide educational and recreational materials and programs to all segments of the population.
In addition to a collection totaling over 20,000 volumes, the library also circulates videos, DVDs, CDs, books on tape and CD, and magazines. Interlibrary loan makes available material in most of these formats not owned by the Fort Plain Library.
Programming regularly includes a six-week Summer Reading Program for children, teens, and adults, an adult literature reading/ discussion series, and an occasional pre-school story hour. Additional special offerings on a variety of topics are frequently scheduled.
The library makes Internet access available to the general public on public access equipment or through a wireless connection. Online databases and encyclopedias, word processing and similar programs are also available. Finally, the library offers fax and photocopy services for a fee.
